Big Expectations for 2015

Barefoot Lawn Bowls Xmas Breakup 2014 Barefoot bowls – 19 December 2014

Written by Kerrie Guppy, Managing Director

As we celebrated our 10th Aus Eco Solutions birthday last year, a fellow entrepreneur told me that the number 11 is a significant number in numerology so to expect big things in this eleventh year of business!

Well we are making that prediction happen with many endeavours on the go to help with our mission to reverse the extinction rates of Australian native flora and fauna by 2020.

Key endeavours include:

  • Our team members stepping up into leadership roles with impressive passion and drive
  • Partnering with Weed Technics to bring chemical free saturated steam technology to western regional Victoria (and soon to mid north coast of New South Wales) to reduce herbicide use
  • Collaborating with the Australian Dingo Foundation to introduce Canis Dingo as eco-police in fenced conservation zones in corporate offsets instead of using poisons such as 1080 to control foxes and rabbits
  • Building strategic alliances with Fireground Leadership and Training Pty Ltd and other companies in New South Wales promoting organic recycling as we open our new branch this week in Wingham on the mid north coast.

The focus in conservation and land management has certainly evolved over the past ten years and Aus Eco Solutions will continue into the future with our vision to be leaders in conserving Australia’s native flora and fauna.

On a personal note, one of the most satisfying aspects of my work over the past ten years has been watching the people who join our team grow in their personal development journey.

With our recent departure into NSW to open a new branch, it is a fantastic feeling to hand over the reigns with confidence to our Victorian team, under the guidance of our business coach for almost three years, Jan Bidstrup of Action Coach. Our Branch Manager in Ballan, Jon, Field Coordinators, Shakira and Danielle, and Administration Officer, Jenny, have already made impressive improvements to the operations of the branch along with our team Dave, Greg, Kirby, Mark, Ben, Janice, Jason, Maria, Rod, Wyn and Dylan.

And in closing I will leave you with some words written by one of newest employees on our farewell card as we left for NSW:

“Though the time was short
And the time went fast
We built a friendship to surely last
You have built something great
Your vision will stay true”

~ Dylan 🙂

Looking forward to an awesome 2015!
