Conserving Roadsides in Southern Victoria – Wyndham Weed Control

Roadsides provide a ready means for invasive plants and rabbits to spread throughout Victoria and threaten Victorian parks, forests and rural land asset values, and are a major concern for government and private land managers.

They have serious impacts on agricultural production and hinder the long-term sustainability of the environment and rural communities. Aus Eco Solutions have just begun a two year weed control maintenance program with Wyndham City Council with aims to improve the condition of Wyndham’s natural assets.

Our qualified and experienced crew members have been providing all of the management and the labour components for carrying out all aspects of weed control along these roadsides, and have been addressing all noxious and environmental weeds present in Wyndham’s community.

All works are being completed in a sensitive approach as Wyndham is also home to the endangered Spiny Rice Flower (pimelea spinesces), and there’s also other highly significant roadside vegetation within these areas.
